Inauguration of the Blues train of Trenitalia at Cagliari

The Group Italian FS is pronted to launch the two first Blues hybrid trains of Trenitalia Regional, the two train was projected by Hitachi Rail, and they are presented to the binary 8 of the railway station of Sardegna.

The dual-fuel, electric and diesel hybrid trains – fully compatible with the Sardinian network because they can be used both on non-electrified lines and on those soon to be electrified – will come into operation on the Cagliari – Oristano line and on the Cagliari – Iglesias Carbonia line, but with the arrival of the additional trains planned – 12 in total – they will circulate throughout Sardinia.
