Extending gains for the second session, the S&P BSE Sensexon Friday was trading marginally in green, while the broaderNifty50 was heading towards its key 8,700 mark.

The headline indices rallied tracking positive trend seen in Asian markets after crude oil prices jumped above $50 per barrel to trade near six-week highs.

SBI and associate banks: Shares of State Bank of India gained over 3 per cent to highest since August 24 after the SBI board approved merger of its five associate banks and Bharatiya Mahila Bank with itself. Stocks of associate banks showed mixed trend. State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur added 3.95 per cent, State Bank of Travancore was up 8.72 per cent, while State Bank of Mysore bucked the trend to plunge over 12 per cent.

Shipping Corporation of India: Shares of Shipping Corporation of India dived over 9 per cent after the company posted 72.56 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 55.91 crore in the June quarter.

Dilip Buildcon: Shares of Dilip Buildcon fell over 3 per cent after the engineering firm said it has bagged a Rs 2,016 crore highway four-laning project from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

PC Jeweller: Shres of PC Jeweller added over 3 per cent after the company informed BSE that it is opening its new showroom in New Delhi. After this the Company will have total 65 showrooms located across 52 cities in India.

Reliance Industries: Shares of RIL fell nearly 1 per cent after the government slapped an additional penalty of $380 million (around Rs 2,500 crore) on the company and its partners for producing less than targeted natural gas from eastern offshore KG-D6 fields.
