From the Michigan Tecnological Univerversity in the Unites States arrives a new flexible fuel cell.

The device, renamed with the acronym CSSFC, is a kind of solid oxide fuel cell.

SOFC solid oxide fuel cells represent an interesting energy conversion technology that can produce electricity directly from fuel.

These systems have high efficiency and can work with different fuels, adapting to both hydrogen and methane.

On the other hand, however, they require high operating temperatures (about 800°C), which raises their cost and production complexity. That is why industry research has long been investigating new ways to lower operating temperature without affecting yield.
